SYMBOLISM 

 

SHIELD – derived from the provincial seal of Pangasinan where the town is located.

 

CARABAO – represents the old reiable partner of Filipino farmers in progress.

 

STOCK OF PALAY AND RICEFIELDS – represent farming as the major source of income of the townspeople.

 

MANGO FRUITS – symbolize the sweet mangoes that the town is noted for.

 

BAMBOO TREES – depicts resiliency of the populace; raw materials used for handicraft products.

 

BRICKS – symbolize the famous Sta. Barbara bricks which are transported to the different places in Luzon.

 

2 RIVERS – traversing the town from east to west; sources of irrigation water for food production.

 

BUILDING – stands for the municipal building, the seat of the municipal government and several national government agencies.
