SYMBOLISM

 

SHIELD – derived from the provincial seal of Bataan where the town is located.

 

SWORD – represent the late Cayetano Arellano who excelled in promoting justice in the country by being the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

 

LAUREL LEAVES – represent the hero-poet Francisco “Balagtas” Baltazar who spent 20 years of his life in Orion.

 

SEA, FARMS AND MANGO TREES – denote the major sources of income of the townspeople.

 

MOUNTAINS – symbolize Mt. Samat and Mariveles Mountains.
