SYMBOLISM 

SHIELD – derived from the provincial seal of Oriental Mindoro where the town is located. Equally divided into four quadrants which represent the four major sources of livelihood of the residents namely mining, tourism, fishing and agricultural industries.

 

11 SMALL CIRCLE AND ROPE – the circles represent the component barangays comprising the municipality of San Teodoro and the rope binding them symbolizes unity and strength.

 

EQUIDISTANT TRIANGLE – represent the 3 distinct but co-equal branches of government, namely: Executive, Legislative and Judiciary. The pyramidal direction of the object signify the unrelenting struggle of every San Teodoreneans in pursuit of their hopes, dreams and aspiration for a law-abiding, God-fearing and self-reliant citizenry.

 

2 LAUREL LEAVES – the receptacle-shape depiction of the leaves symbolizes the prayerful wish of San Teodoreneans that the long list of men and women, living and dead who have served the people with honors and distinction would continually grow.

 

1928 – the year the municipality was created on December 08, 1928 by virtue of Republic Act 3498.
