SYMBOLISM 

 

CENTERMOST DESIGN – represents China Sea where the Ilocano pioneers from Paoay, Ilocos Norte came to San Narciso by means of Parao or “Punting”.

 

17 GEARS OF THE WHEEL – represent the 17 barangays establishes by the Ilocano pioneers.

 

12 POINTS OF THE SHIELD (LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE) – symbolize the martyrdom of the 12 martyrs massacred at the town plaza for their resistance against the Spanish conquistadores.

 

TOP DIVISION OF THE SHIELD – typical representation of the Philippines—a carabao head; red, white, and blue colors.

 

US COMMUNICATION FACILITIES (AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SHIELD) – depict that part of the geographical area of the town which is a US Community Facility-Installation.
