SYMBOLISM 

SHIELD – derived from the seal of the province of Batanes.

 

COW – represents the cattle industry of the municipality, the major source of livelihood.

 

FISH – represents the marine industry with the rich fishing ground that abounds the island municipality. It is the next major source of income.

 

GARLIC – represents the agricultural industry of the municipality. The larger portion of the land is clayfish that is suitable to garlic plantation, this being the third major product of the people.
