SYMBOLISM
SHIELD – derived from the provincial seal of Laguna where the town is located.
FORTY STARS – represent the forty barangays of Majayjay.
CHURCH – represents the church of “San Gregorio Papa Magno”, the biggest and oldest church in the province.
WATERFALLS – represents the “Majayjay Waterfalls” (Talon ng Majayjay) found in barangay Taytay, one of the beautiful sceneries of the municipality.
MOUNTAIN – represents “Mount Banahaw” (Bundok Banahaw), biggest mountain in the province, wherein the municipality is located on its foot.
COCONUT, LANSONES TREE, PANDAN PLANT AND RICEFIELD – sources of livelihood of the townspeople.
1571 – depicts the year the Municipality of Majayjay was founded.
RIBBON – with inscription “Dangal at Talino”, words that guide the officials of the municipality in the performance of their duties.
COLORS RED, BLUE, YELLOW AND WHITE – stand for the colors of the Philippine Flag; denote that Majayjay is part of the Philippines.
