SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Ilocos Sur where the town is located

CIRCULAR LINE - symbolizes unity among the constituents

THIRTY (30) STARS - represent the thirty (30) barangays comprising the municipality

RICESTALKS - symbolize agriculture, Magsingal is primarily as agricultural town

MOUNTAINS & HILLS - represent "Bantay Bullagao", the highest mountain in the municipality; "Bantay Samsamon", a good grazing ground for its sharp rocks and "Bussaoit Hills", where "La Gallera" Magsingal is located

BLUE WAVES & FISH - represent the rivers and springs such as "Pursua River" the biggest river in town; "Pagsanaan River" which seperates Pagsanaan Norte and Sur; "Subsubusob Spring", the source of the water supply of the municipality and "Nalvo Spring", one of the scenic spots in the municipality; fish represents fishing industry

1676 - the year the municipality of Magsingal was founded
