SHIELD - derived from the seal of the Province of Albay where the Municipality of Jovellar is located
ABACA ROPE - depicts the finish product of ABACA that abounds in the municipality. Most women and children engage themselves in handicraft making. They make use of abaca fibers as the raw material.
MOUNTAIN - depict that Jovellar has a very mountainous terrain and is situated in an elevated place
COCONUT, RICE AND CORNLAND - Jovellar's climate is favorable to different kinds of crops, having farming as main source of income. Lands are planted with coconut, rice and corn. These are also the main produce in the municipality
PIA - the legendary woman settler that came from the west coast and settled at the mouth of the QUIPIA River
QUIPIA RIVER - its mouth became the dwelling place for the early inhabitants. This is the place where trade in the municipality first began and prospered
FOREST PRODUCTS - the early inhabitants were engaged in gathering all kinds of forest products like gums, vines, rattan, logs, animal's meat and were sold to the dwellers of the West Coast
MAGTAGUINTING FALLS - one of the tourist attractions in the municipality. Its height is estimated to be 40 ft. above the ground. When developed, said falls would surely attract numerous tourists because of its natural and scenic characteristics
