PLOW AND GREENFIELDS - stand for farming, one of the major industries of the town

FISH - represents fishing industry

OPEN BOOK - represents that the municipality is the center of education and culture for the whole province; also symbolizes the Holy Bible

RED, WHITE AND BLUE COLORS - symbolize the Philippine National Flag and the allegiance of the townspeople to the Constitution
