The corporate seal of the City of Himamaylan, Negros Occidental reflects the economic condition and source of livelihood of its constituents. It is represented by two ring borders within which are inscribed "LUNGSOD NG HIMAMAYLAN, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL"

The nineteen cogs of gear represent the number of barangays that compose the City. The mountain with vast, fertile agricultural lands sets the boundary along Negros Oriental

Fishing net, fishes and shells symbolize that fishing is one of the major industries in the City. The sugarcane and bundle of palay symbolize the other sources of income of the people
