TOBACCO, RICE, CORN & PEANUT - represent the four (4) main products of the municipality

RIVER - depicts the mighty Cagayan River

1849 - the year the municipality was founded

MOUNTAINS - depict the Sierra Madre Mountain on the eastern side of the municipality and the Cordillera Mountain on its western side
