SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Palawan where the town is located

BIRD - represents the bird "KO-OK" as called in local dialect, which is rampant in Tubataha Iselets and Cawili Island, the main tourist attractions in the municipality

COCONUT CRAB (TATUS) - a very rare and unique specie in the country which exists in the rocky places of the poblacion, Calusa and Dondonay Islands

SEA-WEEDS (EUCHEMA) - one of the main sources of livelihood of the people cultured productively in the different islands of Cagayancillo, like in Cawili and Arena Islands

ISLAND - symbolizes the mainland Palawan viewed as one approaches the island

SEA - represents the crystal clear sea waters of Cagayancillo wherein different specie of fishes are very visible during the months of April and May

1810 - the year the municipality was founded

YELLOW COLOR - denotes the dawn in Cagayancillo which is full of bright future for its constituents
