SYMBOLISM 

 

PENTAGON BORDER – symbolizes the influx of investments coming in and the reciprocal progress emanating therefrom.

 

3 MOUNTAINS – represent the popular Sierra Madre, Cordillera and Caraballo mountains which surround the Valley; a dominant landscape and form of natural resources.

 

SUN WITH RAYS – represents new hope for the people comprising the 8 districts of the city.

 

IMAGE OF ST. JAMES – depicts the city itself which is focal point of the seal; it also symbolizes the transition from a municipality to a city.

 

1994 – the year City of Santiago was created.
