TALL GREEN TREE (at the center) - signifies the myriad controversial pine trees that dot and clad the northern, eastern and southern mountains that typifies the City of Malaybalay, hence, it is sometimes referred to as a pine tree country. It also signifies the coolness of the air because the City lies on a high plateau

WAVY LINES - represent the fertility of the soil, the rivers and creeks, rolling verdant hills, the terrain and contour of Malaybalay

"KALAS AG" (colored red, black and white) - represents the cultural minorities of Malaybalay, Bukidnon

CROSSED SPEARS or "BANGKAW" - connote that the place was the center of the flourishing Malayan culture in Bukidnon. It does not symbolize a warlike tribe, instead, a peaceful and friendly and yet brave people

BLUE HALF-MOON - symbolizes the vast natural resources of Malaybalay and also signifies the mountains which appear to be blue when seen from afar

MAN, PLOW & CARABAO - represent agriculture as the economic activity of the people

GEAR - depicts motion, transmission and direction towards the common man's desire for economic and social upliftment. The cogs of the gear represents the forty six (46) barangays of the City
