SHIELD – derived from the provincial seal of La Union where the town is located.

 

MOUNTAIN, SUN, RICE FIELD – symbolize Santol as an agricultural municipality.

 

TOBACCO LEAF (ON RED FIELD) AND ROCE STALK (ON BLUE FIELD) – represent the two main agricultural products of the municipality, the main source of income of the townspeople.

 

BLUE – unity

 

RED – bravery

 

YELLOW – prosperity

 

GREEN – abundance

 

WHITE - purity
