SYMBOLISM 

SHIELD – derived from the provincial seal of La Union where the town is located.

 

OCEAN AND BOAT – signify that the municipality has a good fishing ground ang that fishing is one of the sources of livelihood of the residents aling the seashore.

 

MORO WATCH TOWER – symbolizes Moro Watch Tower, an existing Spanish period structure constructed and used by the people to watch Moro pirates coming ashore.

 

CLAY – symbolizes pottery making, the famous home and cottage industry of the residents as source of their livelihood.

 

FOLIAGE LEAF – signifies that the municipality is an agricultural town which main products are palay, corn, root crops and tobacco.
