SYMBOLISM

SHIELD – derived from the provincial seal of La Union where the town is located.

 

BURNAY (EARTHENWARE) – stands for the primary product of the town — basi, a fermented wine derived from the extracted juice of sugarcane stood in burnay.

 

TOBACCO LEAF – signifies the tobacco industry as another preoccupation of the townspeople.

 

MAP – represents all the 37 barangays comprising the town of Naguilian.

 

In its entirety these symbols signify the self-reliant attitude of the townspeople towards towards sufficiency and progress.
