SYMBOLISM
SHIELD – derived from the provincial seal of Pangasinan where the town is located.
1600 – the year when the Augustinian Friars started the Evangelization of the town.
SUGARCANE – represents sugar planting/milling as one of the sources of livelihood of the people.
PALAY – symbolizes rice production; depicts that the town is predominantly an agricultural community.
CHURCH – represents the Shrine of the Blessed Virgin Mother of Manaoag; manifests the devotion of both domestic and foreign pilgrims who flock to the place to give respect to the Virgin Mother.
UPPER LEFT QUADRANT DESIGN – represents the bamboo and rattan handicraft industry wherein many of the townspeople are engaged.
