SYMBOLISM

SHIELD – derived from the provincial seal of Pangasinan where the town is located.

 

16 CIRCUMFERENTIAL TRIANGLES – represent the 16 barangays that comprise the municipality.

 

BAT – symbolizes the origin of the town which was formerly called “Balincaguin” which means the town of bats because of the abundance of rodents during the early times.

 

BALINCAGUING RIVER – one of the well-known resources and tourist attraction in the Province of Pangasinan.

 

RICEFIELDS, SEEDLING, SPADE & FORK & MOUNTAIN FOREST – represent farming, mining and quarrying, the main sources of income of the municipality.

 

RAYS OF THE SUN – represent the never ending quest for serenity and progress by the townspeople of Mabini.
