SYMBOLISM

SHIELD – refers to the military’s lofty ideal of insuring the security and stability of the state and its people.

 

TORCH – depicts the continuous quest for knowledge.

 

CAMERA SHUTTER – depicts the aerial photogrammetry, a task undertaken by the unit and covers the three major colors that depict the categories of military intelligence.

            BLUE – weather

            RED – enemy

            BROWN – terrain

 

STARS – represent the three major island where the unit operates.

 

SKY BLUE – represents the Air Force service color and the sky that the Air Force is bound to protect.

 

YELLOW SHIELD – depicts the unit’s well-balance action and sober reflection towards the attainment of AISG mission.

 

MCMLXXVII – represents the birth year of intelligence unit in the Air Force.

 

LAUREL – depicts the continuing glory and honor of the unit.
