SYMBOLISM

 

SHIELD – derived from the provincial seal of Pangasinan where the town is located.

 

AGNO RIVER – serves as a water reservoir irrigating rice lands making possible three-croppings in a year in the municipality.

 

TORCH – represents the two agricultural institutions in the municipality.

 

GREEN FIELD – signifies that 83.52 percent of the total land area of the municipality is devoted to agriculture.

 

PALAY STALK & TOBACCO – the main crops and the biggest cash crop of the town, respectively.

 

GOLDEN PAN – stands for gold panning, another profitable occupation of the people.

 

23 STARS – represent the 23 barangays comprising the municipality.

 

ROPE – signifies the unity and harmony of the townspeople.
