SYMBOLISM
SHIELD – derived from the seal of the Province of Marinduque.
2 GOLD RINGS – symbolizes unity of the municipality constituents.
MORYON MASK – represents the original Moryon (called Bulaklakan) which originated in Mogpog in 1807 and made Mogpog as well as Marinduque well known in the Philippines for its annual Moryonan (Morion) a festival of prayer, thanksgiving and well-being of an individual.
FISH – represents the main source of livelihood in the Coastal Barangays aside from farming.
RICE STALKS – represent agriculture, comprising 56% of the labor force of the town.
COCONUT – represents copras, the main product of Mogpog.
1807 – year when the municipality was founded.
