SYMBOLISM

 

SHIELD – derived from the seal of the province of Pangasinan.

 

GEAR – conceptualizes movements and action. In it is written the municipality’s motto “ABANTE MANGALDAN” (ONWARD MANGALDAN). This summarizes the ever burning aspiration of every Mangaldan to make the town one of the premier towns of Pangasinan.

 

UPPER QUADRANTS – represent the various cottage industries thriving in the locality.

 

LOWER QUADRANTS – represent farming, being the major occupation in the municipality.

 

WHITE – purest intention of the municipal government in pursuing and serving the best interest of the town’s populace.

 

BRICK RED – symbolizes the energy and the propelling force behind every development effort.
