SYMBOLISM

 

SHIELD – derived from the provincial seal of Cagayan where the town is located.

 

CAVANS OF RICE – denotes Lasam as one of the rice granaries of Cagayan.

 

RICE STALKS – stand for farming, the chief industry of Lasam, an agricultural community.

 

POWER TILLER – represents hope, peace, unity and progress for the municipality.

 

SUN RAYS – signify hope, peace, unity and progress for the municipality.

 

HUMAN FIGURES (FAMILY) – the basic unit of the society symbolizing Lasamenos in general, facing the rising sun and envisioning “Onward to Progress for a better Lasam”.

 

RIVER – represents the Cagayan River which separated Lasam from its mother town Gattaran.
