SYMBOLISM

 

SHIELD – derived from the provincial seal of Pangasinan where the town is located.

 

PLOW – symbolizes the agricultural industry in the municipality.

 

SALAKAB – stands for the town’s aquatic industry.

 

SHOVELS – symbolize the mineral resources found in the municipality.

 

The whole seal depicts the three main occupations of the people of the municipality: farming, fishing and quarrying for mineral deposits.
