SYMBOLISM

 

SHIELD – adopted from the provincial seal of Cavite where the town is located.


RING – encircling the shield, it symbolizes unity. The upper half in blue, indicates the name of the Municipality and the Province where it belongs.


BALCONY WITH 2 FLAGS – at the center of the shield, it depicts the Balcony of the Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite, where the Philippine independence was proclaimed on June 12,1898.


ALAB NG PUSO – wordings inside the scroll in red was taken from our national anthem as symbol of the undying aspiration of the Filipinos for freedom.


1898 – stands for the determination of the Filipino people to struggle for freedom which resulted to its proclamation.


OFFICIAL MOTTO – “Love Thy Country”
