SYMBOLISM
SHIELD – derived from the provincial seal of Albay where the town is located.
MAYON VOLACNO – represents the province of Albay wherein the geographical map of Guinobatan is located.
MAP – represents the geographical area of the Municipality of Guinobatan.
1688 – signaled the separation of Guinobatan from Camalig making it a distinct parish. The town reckon their Arandurugan Fesitval (Annual Town Fiesta) by its foundation year.
PLOW, RICE, ABACA, AND COCONUT PLANT – represents farming, majority of the Guinobatenos are engaged in simple productive living which is farming. The rice, abaca and coconut plants represent the three major crops produced in Guinobatan.
DOVE AND BELL – symbolizes the political aspects of Guinobatan. It means that their democratic form of living and the freedom and rights they are enjoying.
BOOK – it shows Guinobatan as a center of education in the 3rd district of Albay, because it has two colleges namely, Bicol University College of Agriculture and Republic Colleges, four secondary schools namely Marcial O. Ranola Memorial School (MORMS), ST. Benedict’s Academy (SBA).
OLIVE LEAVES – signify glory, honor, and idealism. The 44 olive leaves represents the 44 barangays of Guinobatan.
CIRCLE – bond of unity. It represents the oneness of Guinobatenos.
