SHIELD – derived from the provincial seal of Misamis Oriental where the city belongs.
CIRCLE – symbolizes unity among the people of the City of Gingoog.
SUN AND COLORS – represent the national flag of the Philippines.
COCONUTS, LANZONES, BANANAS, COFFEE, LOGS, AND SAW – symbolize the major products of the City of Gingoog. The existence of these products are the main source of income for a number of Gingoognons.
1960 – the year Gingoog was raised into the status of a chartered City.
