SYMBOLISM

 

SHIELD – derived from the provincial seal of Nueva Ecija where the town is located.

 

PAPAYA TREE – symbolizes the old name of the municipality (Papaya), which up to this date is widely used.

 

MOUNTAINS – represent the mountain ranges of Sierra Madre

 

RICEFIELD – symbolizes the traditional source of livelihood of the townspeople.

 

GRAINS – symbolize the main staple of the townsfolk which is rice.

 

CATTLE HEADS – signify the fast developing industry in the area.

 

1921 – the year of the municipality was founded.
