SYMBOLISM

 

PHILIPPINE EAGLE – represents the Corps’ aggressiveness in the collection of data with historical values needed in the conduct of research for the formulation of plans and policies.

 

QUILL – renowned tool for writers of the past that represents the perennial recording of the Corps journal.

 

BOOK – represents the historical records wherein the events are inscribed and recorded in order to preserve the heritage and history, and enhance the traditions of the Philippine Marine Corps.

 

2002 – represents the year when the MHO or the camaraderie among the Marines.

 

ROPE – represents the esprit-de-corps of the camaraderie among the Marines.

 

COLORS – gold represents nobility; red is for courage; navy blue signifies the affinity of the Marines to the Navy; and white id for purity and honesty in record keeping.
