SHIELD – derived from the provincial seal of Ilocos Sur where the town is located.

SANTOL FRUIT – symbol of identity for the place that led to its discovery.

SPRING – symbolizes center of life for the small community of fruit vendors.

CHURCH – represents the foundation of the town.

MAGUEY PLANT – where the rope is derived, represents the primary source of livelihood of the townspeople.

MOUNTAIN – represents the Bullagao Mountain on the eastern portion of the town’s folklore.
