SHIELD – derived from the provincial seal of Ilocos Sur where the town is located.

PALAY, TOBACCO, AND CARABAO – depict the municipality as an agricultural community.

SUN RAYS – symbolize progress for the townspeople.

3 STARS – symbolize the 3 Roman Catholic parishes namely: Parish of Our Lady of M. Poblas Immaculate Conception, Parish of St. Joseph and Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe Sevilla.
