MUNICIPALITY OF PULILAN
PROVINCE OF BULACAN
Year Approved: 1993
SYMBOLISM
The bamboo shield is derived from the seal of the province where the
Municipality is located.
The seal as a whole symbolizes a typical scenery of how the famous
traditional May festivities is celebrated in honor of the Patron Saint, San
Isidro de Labrador. This activity is now a great tourist attraction for the
town of Pulilan.
The most significant feature of
the seal is the cararabo kneeling in front of the San Isidro Parish Church.
Riding the carabao is a typical farmer with a salakot on his head and a plow on
his shoulder. This particular scene is found at the center of the round seal.
At the left is a small nipa hut with a full grown mango tree at the back, a
small rice field in front and a mandala on its side.
