SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Masbate where the municipality of Pio V. Corpus belongs

1951 - the year Pio V. Corpus became a municipality; it was formerly called "Limbuhan" or a place for "ipo-ipo" or tornado. The municipality was renamed after Don Pio V. Corpus, a well- known Masbate politician who was a native of the town

EIGHTEEN (18) SAMPAGUITA FLOWERS - represent the eighteen (18) Barangays that comprises the municipality

MOUNTAINS - depict the mountainous topography of the municipality

COCONUT TREE - represents one of the major agricultural products of the municipality; Other products are rice, corn and vegetables

PASTURELAND - represents the fertile land of the municipality; aside from being planted with crops, the plains also provide pasture for the livestock industry of the town

CATTLE - represents the municipality's major industry-cattle raising
