COCONUT TREE WITH MULTIPLE TRUNKS - the tree symbolizes the town of Kalayaan as a whole and the three (3) trunks symbolize the three (3) barangays of the town namely: Loñgos, San Antonio and San Juan;
CARABAO - represents the beast of burden which is the principal partner of the farmers in earning their livelihood; farming is one of the major means of livelihood in Kalayaan;
LAKE AND RICE FIELDS - represent Barangays Loñgos and San Juan which are situated along coastal areas of Laguna de Bay. Farming and fishing, are the sources of livelinood of the people in these barangays;
MOUNTAIN - represents Barangay San Antonio, the barangay situated on top of Sierra Madre Mountain, where planting crops and vegetables and animal raising are the resources of livelihood of the people;
CIRCLE - symbolizes unity among the people of Kalayaan:
SHIELD - is derived from the Provincial Seal of Laguna where the town is located;
PROVINCE OF CATANDUANES Year Approved: ____ WATERFALL - stand for fishery and Marine resources. TREES, LUMBER / RICEFIELD - showed the forest and agricultural resources. PICK / MATOK, SLEDGEHAMMER, AXE - stand for mineral resources.
