"BUTANDING" - stands for the exclusive identity of the town being known as the "Whale-Shark Capital of the World"

BLUE, WHITE, RED, SUN AND STARS - derived from the Philippine National Flag which suggest the promotion of everlasting faith and confidence of the constituents to the government
