SHIELD/RED LAUAN LEAVES - derived from the Provincial seal of Camarines Norte where the town of Basud is located. Divided into four (4) parts which shall represent the four (4) aspects of tourism and development of Basud, Camarines Norte. The twenty nine (29) leaves represent the barangays of Basud

RED LAUAN TREE - represents the red lauan tree popularly known as the mother tree in the area - the oldest, highest and biggest tree in the Bicol Natural Park, with a diameter of 320 cm and a height of 22 meters, located at barangay Tuaca

LANITON LANDMARK - located at Barangay Matnog, it is where the local guerrillas attacked the invading Japanese Imperial Army

BEACH/WATER - represent the tourist spots of the town, Mangcamagong Beach, Taba-Taba Beach and Basud River

ZIGZAG ROAD, MOUNTAIN, AGRICULTURAL LANDS, PINEAPPLE, COCONUT TREE AND RICEFIELD - symbolize the famous 7 kilometer winding road called "Bitukang Manok"; Mt. Cone and Mt. Balagbag in the municipality whose surrounding fields are devoted to agriculture, and the three (3) major agricultural crops of the municipality; pineapple, coconut and rice
