SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Leyte where the town is located

CHURCH, MUNICIPAL AND SCHOOL BUILDINGS - these three (3) sectors lead the moral and spiritual guidance, aspirations for higher education and local governance; indicate that the townspeople are God-loving, patriotic, law abiding and aims for higher values and education

1949 - the year the municipality was founded

DOVE - symbolizes peace

SAMPAGUITA - depicts the national flower and purity of intentions

TWENTY (20) STARS - symbolize the twenty (20) barangays that comprise the municipality

RICE - represents the number one product of the municipality, hence, Sta. Fe is considered as the rice granary of the first district of Leyte

COCONUT - another major agri-based product which has industrial value

FOWL AND SWINE - other sources of income of the townspeople

PEN & SCROLL - signify Executive Order #277 creating the municipality

TRACTOR - symbolizes the town's vision for mechanized farming by the year 2000 and develop agro-industrial zone by the 21st century
