SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Palawan where the town is located

HILL - depicts the topography of the municipality as rolling and hilly

FISH AND SEA - represent that the municipality is rich in marine products

BANCAS - used for fishing by the townspeople; mode of transportation from island to island and from mainland to island or vice-versa; representing the six islands of the municipality

RICE - symbolizes rice as the primary agricultural crop of the municipality

CORN - stands for corn production, another major source of livelihood of the people

COCONUT - source of indigenous construction materials; one of the old agricuitural products of the town which is still familiar to this date

COLOR SYMBOLISM

GREEN - stands for wealth, resources and commitment to preserve ecological balance

BLUE - portrays the natural color of the sky and high seas and the soothing natures of the weather

WHITE - stands for purity, cleanliness and decency

RED - depicts courage and bravery

BROWN - pertains to antiques and antiquity and the historical attachment way back to the pre-spanish period

YELLOW OR GOLD - stands for abundant blessings
