TWO EQUIDISTANTLY MOUNTED STARS - stands for the mother Province of Ilocos Sur, a well balanced support to the fulfillment of aspirations of the people of the municipality

THE HUES - virtuously communicates valor for blue, courage for red, hope for green, prosperity and bounty for golden and over a blessing of peace for white as background

THE CIRCLES - the inner circle signifies the perfect bond of the 36 barangays while the bold circle stands for the Municipal Government Standing as vanguards of the dreams, aspirations and daily chores of the people
