SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Quezon where the town is located

SEA HORSE - represents all the creatures of the sea which are abundant in the waters around the island

PALM LEAF & GRAIN STALKS - symbolize the two major agricultural crops raised in the municipality, namely, coconut and rice

GREEN TWIN MOUNDS - represent the gently rolling hills and mountains of the island cultivated to produce indigenous crops. Also stand for the remaining forest in the island, still verdant and abundant with tropical flora and fauna

RISING SUN - represents the status of the development of the island; its struggle towards progress

BLUE OCEAN (STYLIZED HEAD OF CARABAO) - represents the beast of burden of the island

BLUE BACKGROUND - stands for patriotism and traditional hospitality of the townspeople
