SHIELD - represents the colors of the Philippine Flag

CIRCLE - symbolizes strength, unity and aspiration of the people of the municipality. Inscribed in it is the name of the municipality and the province where it belongs

FRUITS (LANZONES) - represent the thirty three (33) sitios in the mountain of the Municipality

CHISEL (PAET) - a tool used for carving where the municipality got its name and also symbolizes the proficiency of the people of Paete in the field of art and carving, that's why the municipality of Paete is called the "Carving Capital of the Philippines"

SQUARE RULE (ESKUWALA) - it has nine (9) measure lines which represents the nine (9) barangays of the town. Its handle has diamond shape lines

1580 - year the municipality was founded
