SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Romblon where the town is located

TWENTY FIVE (25) ARROW HEADS - represent the current number of barangays in the municipality

BIG ARROW - symbolizes the historical origin of the name of "Odiongan" from the local dialect "Odiong" and later "Indiong" which means "Arrow" and "Hit by an Arrow", respectively; "Odiongan" was finally the accepted coined name; the arrow points upward as the liftoff direction of development

FOUR (4) QUADRANTS - symbolize the four (4) main products of the municipality namely; large cattle (cow); coconut and rice, pottery/ceramic products and port/arrastre services

1846 - represent the year of the foundation of the municipality


COLOR SYMBOLISM:

BLUE, RED & WHITE - represent the traditional colors of the National Flag

GREEN & YELLOW - symbolize the colors of the February 1986 peaceful revolution
