CARABAO'S HEAD - signifies the town source of income as mainly agricultural in nature

FISHES - depicts that the town also has marine products where they derived their income

SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Negros Occidental with an additions of three stars (Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao), and the National Flag colors (red, blue and yellow)

NATIVE SWORD AND "SALAKOT" - denotes that the town of Escalante was born out of the participation of townsfolk in revolution against the Spaniards

GEAR - conforms to the desire of the town to move at speed towards progress
