SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Quezon where the town is located

OUTSIDE RING BORDER - denotes the Philippine Archipelago

THE SEAL - represents the municipality of Dolores in its wholeness

MOUNTAINS - represents Mts. Banahaw, San Cristobal and Masalukot which serve as strong natural walls that shield the   municipality from destructive typhoons and strong winds from the Pacific Ocean during rainy season; dominant scenic spots attracting hundreds of thousan visitors during the lenten season

COCONUT TREE - symbolizes the dominant crop being raised and produced in the municipality

11 HORIZONTAL LINES - represent the 11 barangays outside the poblacion

4 PERPENDICULAR LINES - represent the 4 barangays within the poblacion

WAVES - represent the two famous lakes of Dolores namely Gunao and Manlalayes, situated at barangay Dagatan 3 kms. away from the Poblacion

3 STARS - represent the 3 islands of the Philippine Archipelago—Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao
