PENTAGON SHIELD - signifies defense, the unit's primary mission as a part of the army

702 - stands for the unit's numerical designation

TRIANGLE - inside the pentagonal shield represents the three (3) pronged approaches in fighting insurgency-combat operations, intelligence and civil-military operations

MAKABANSA, MAKATAO, MAKADIYOS - symbolizes the unit's direction of ideology towards democracy

SWORD - signifies the aggressiveness of the unit in combat operations in the performance of its mission as defender and protector of the Filipino people

SPHINX - stands for intelligence and greatness

ANCIENT LIGHTED LAMP - represents truth, enlightment and understanding in all activities so that every sector of the society will appreciate the noble profession of the Filipino soldier in upholding civilian supremacy

THREE (3) STARS - on each side of the triangle stands for the three (3) big islands of the Philippines namely: (Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao) where the unit can be deployed


COLOR SYMBOLISM:

GOLDEN YELLOW - stands for brilliancy and fervor. The unit's quest for excellency not only in combat but in nation building as well

GREEN - stands for verdant land, the area of responsibility, its natural resources and inhabitants

RED - stands for courage and bravery of the men ready anytime to fulfill its inherent mission

WHITE - depicts its purity of purpose in the maintenance of peace and order
