Tamaraw - fare wild animal found only in the island of Mindoro.

Fifteen Stars - represent the 15 towns of the province.

Two Dots - represent the two provinces of the island of Mindoro: Oriental Mindoro and Occidental Mindoro.

Green Color - stands for the verdant hills and mountains of the province.

Red Color - stands for the bravery displayed by the inhabitants of Mindoro during the Spanish Revolution, Filipino-American War and the Japanese Occupation.

Golden Yellow Color - stands for gold mine which is abundant in Oriental Mindoro.
