The circle which encloses the stars and landscapes represents a "Gong or Gangsa", a musical instrument used by the natives during tribal dances and festivities. The emblem conveys unity, cohesion, and solidarity among the people of the Cordillera as well as the values, culture and tradition which the Cordillerans share.
The circle which encloses the Gong represents a sun which always rises in the morning and sets in the evening. Like a Cordilleran, it epitomizes a true fighter that always rises from where it falls.
The laurels denote that PRO-CAR will always be a true partner of the people for peace and prosperity. That peace shall reign in the whole Region and a Cordilleran will be prosperous in all his dreams and aspirations.
The stars represent the six (6) provinces and one (1) City comprising the Cordillera Administrative Region.
The sky as background denotes the true color of Cordillera, a truly exalted and exemplary character in his unfeigned piety to GOD and his inflexible fidelity to his trust.
The trees and landscapes enclosed at the center of the gong represent the scenic views that convey the beauty of the Cordillera and for which the Region is famous worldwide. The pine tree is emblematic of the "Tree of Life", pure and strong as the people of Cordillera. It also denotes a cool temperature that regulates the general character of a Cordilleran. The mountains connote that the region is characterized by a mountainous terrain as sturdy as the character of its people. The rice terraces describe the typical characteristics of a Cordilleran: Hardworking, Industrious and Diligent.
