BOOK - symbolizes the knowledge that a Sergeant Major must possess

COLOR BLUE - suggests affinity of the Marine Corps with the Navy

LAUREL LEAVES - represent success, honor, nobility and integrity of the Corps Sergeant Major

INSCRIPTION - the inscription “Philippine Marine Corps Council of Sergeants Major” represents the united council of the Marine Corps Units’ Sergeants Major while the inscribed word “Tagapag-ugnay” is a Tagalog word for ‘link”, which is the primary function of each member of the council

CRIMSON RED COLOR - stands for courage

ROPE - represents the strong bond that links every Marine to one another and its close loops means that a Marine will forever remain a Marine
