SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Pangasinan where the town is located.

3 BLUE RINGS - signifies the three (3) principal rivers of Umingan, namely Banila, Carayungan and Umingan River.

58 YELLOW STARS - represent the fifty eight (58) barangays with boundaries officially delineated.

RISING SUN - denotes the location of the town, the eastern most part of the province of Pangasinan.

EDIFICE - stands for the municipal building.

SWORD AND BALANCE - symbolize equal justice to all.

2 HORNS - signify the power granted by the citizenry to the ten (10) elected municipal council members.

2 LARGER STARS - stand for the mayor and vice-mayor .

8 SMALLER STARS - stand for the eight (8) councilors.

CHEVRONS - adorning the two points of the horns, represent the members of the police force.

RED AND BLUE STRIPES - stand for subdivided cast tract of land distributed to tenants under RD. 000.27 of the land reform program.

RIBBON - where the municipal motto was inscribed: "Pagkakaisa'y Lakas, Pagkakahati'y Kabiguan" (together we stand, divided we fall).

RICE STALKS, BANANAS, BAMBOO, SUGARCANE, TOMATO, LEAF, COCONUT AND CORN - stand for various product of the municipality.

BUNCH OF FLOWERS - represents the "Calachuchi" as the official flower of the municipality which is abundant in the town.

PICK AND SHOVEL - represent the unexploited minerals such as gold, iron, ore, kaolin clay and etc.
